Gem Logistics, which operates a 250,000 sq ft storage facility in Raunds, Northamptonshire, has been named the United Kingdom Warehousing Association’s Best New Member 2013, with resounding congratulations from UKWA for winning the award in what has been stated as an extremely tough category. Roger Williams, the association’s Chief Executive Officer commented: “The high quality of the entries underlines the professionalism that runs through the modern logistics industry”.

With nearly 700 members, the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) is Britain’s leading trade organisation for the third party logistics (3PL) sector, the UKWA’s Awards for Warehousing 2013 ceremony was recently held at The Dorchester Hotel in London, which had over 400 (UKWA) members and their guests, are highly coveted within the industry that the association represents, so a prestigious win for Gem Logistics.

Gem Logistics not only passed the UKWA entry test, but so impressed the Association with the quality of its operation that they were immediately put forward as a potential winner of the Association’s Best New Member Award and subsequently won.
