UKWA – the United Kingdom Warehousing Association – has announced that the joint host of this year’s UKWA Awards for Warehousing Ceremony will be popular comedian, Simon Evans.
Evans is an established act on the UK stand up comedy circuit who will be known to many for his appearances on television shows such as Mock The Week and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
His style is described as sarcastic, cynical and quick-witted and, according to leading comedy review site Chortle, ‘his sharp, acidic barbs remain a rich delight’.
UKWA’s Awards for Warehousing event takes place at London’s Dorchester Hotel on Wednesday July 3rd.
The Awards Luncheon is widely regarded as one of the premier networking events in the logistics industry’s calendar and this year over 400 UKWA members and their guests are expected to attend.
There are 10 Awards categories in total and the companies shortlisted for a prize include: Bibby Distribution, Wincanton, Knights of Old, Expect Distribution, Boughey Distribution, Elddis Transport and Century Logistics.
