Linde Material Handling (UK) has announced the launch of a new Eco-Lease solution, designed to now allow customers to fully offset 100% of the carbon footprint generated in the first year of a fork lift truck’s life.

Eco-lease

Whilst striving to reduce carbon footprint wherever possible with the most efficient engine trucks on the market, Linde also understands that it is not possible for customers to avoid generating some CO2 footprint. Now, following its launch at the International Handling and Storage Exhibition in March, Linde’s Eco-Lease enables customers who acquire a Linde engine truck on Contact Hire in 2013, to qualify for an investment in carbon credits and to offset 100% of the carbon generated in the first year of the truck’s life.

Linde is launching the Eco-Lease as part of its commitment to offering the most sustainable products and services for their customers. There is no additional outlay and cost for the customer in selecting Eco-Lease.

In support of the new Eco-Lease, Linde is investing in renewable energy projects from the *Gold Standard Foundation. The Gold Standard label ensures that environmental projects are truly effective and contribute to local sustainability initiatives that make a real difference.  By choosing the Gold Standard label, Linde is investing in the very best carbon offset projects in the world.

By launching this program and by addressing the carbon footprint of trucks, Linde aims to demonstrate to all customers that by choosing a Linde truck not makes sense for their business, but also for the environment.

*The Gold Standard Foundation was established by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and is recognised internationally as the benchmark for quality. The investment in carbon credits for a customer’s Contract Hire will contribute to projects run by the Gold Standard Foundation for wind and biomass projects, and energy efficiency projects in developing countries such as providing essential financial support to facilitate the production of electricity using wind power.
