Storage solutions specialist APEX Linvar has appointed Ian Smith to the post of Managing Director.
The Milton Keynes based company, owned by Chamonix Private Equity, made the appointment as it seeks to consolidate its position as the partner of choice to the warehousing and distribution sector.
Ian, with over 25 years experience in the Logistics sector working with logistics providers, retailers and consumer businesses, commented: “The foundations have been laid for a concerted push for growth with Apex Linvar offering some innovative products, coupled with committed people, these are exciting times for us as we look to substantially increase our market share.

The Storage Direct offering provides a truly comprehensive range of storage products and is used by large and small organisations, from schools and hospitals, to offices, small shops and warehouses.
Integral to the APEX Linvar solutions offering is the unique mobile storage system SpeedCell, which has changed the way people think about small item storage, especially within the e-fulfillment arena, because it maximises storage space and streamlines operations.
Another key product is Meta shelving, which continues to be the leading solution in a range of sectors, including automotive and retail.
APEX Linvar, which last year won the coveted Manufacturing In Action title at the Manufacturer of the Year awards, has a client-base that includes high street names such as River Island, John Lewis and Tesco and logistics providers such as Norbert Dentressangle Group, CEVA, Stobart Group and GIST.
