Premium Warehousing has secured a great new contract originating from national brewer Carlsberg. LocateIT WMS from Clydebuilt Business Solutions has been instrumental in the deal, catering for the Excise requirements for HMRC.
Bases in Sywell, Northampton, Premium are storing up to 18,000 pallets of various products under bond and will be doing all of the picking and distribution of goods including to various retailers throughout the UK.
From the moment the goods enter the warehouse Premium will use the monitoring tools within LocateIT to keep track of BBE data, batch and the ABV measures for each beverage. The full range of warehouse transactions are performed by Premium, and when the product is picked to fulfil an order for delivery to a non-bonded environment it will be released from bond.
As a result, all associated paperwork is created automatically, including the daily W5D return and monthly W1. Not only will the service provided by Premium delight the customer, it provides the meticulous detail required by HMRC along with complete track and trace, keeping the tax man happy too.
Warehouse efficiencies and total accuracy is maintained via the LocateIT real time paperless warehouse processes operated by the staff through the RF infrastructure. Electronic interfacing with the customer’s back office system ensures minimal administration on either side whilst giving instant visibility throughout the contract enterprise.
