One of the UK’s leading material handling firms is offering its customers a unique attachment to help turn their forklifts into a mobile crane.

Jib-1

Contact Attachments, based in Mid Wales, designs and manufactures more than 15 variations of forklift jibs, which are being used by customers such as BAE Systems, Britvic Soft Drinks, and BMW as a safe and reliable way to transform forklifts into adaptable lifting equipment.

Jason Cadman, Technical Sales Consultant at Contact Attachments, said: “Our range includes 95 different models to suit all requirements, so they are the perfect solution for customers who require the regular use of a crane, but do not wish to purchase one.

“We have jibs that can be mounted onto the forks of the truck, which is a great advantage if it is required for multiple tasks throughout the day. Alternatively, some jibs can be directly fixed to the truck’s carriage, which is beneficial for lifting tasks that require a more permanently fixed attachment.

“We offer low level jibs suitable for vertically confined spaces, extendable jibs for added reach and versatility, as well as high lift jibs for raised tasks. The standard jib lengths can be from 1800mm up to 3000mm, however we can manufacture custom sizes to match our customer’s preference.

“All the jibs in our range have been fully tested and adhere to the strictest health and safety guidelines, as well as ISO 9001 quality procedures,” Jason concluded.

Contact Attachments has been designing and manufacturing forklift truck attachments from its base in Newtown, Mid Wales, for over 30 years and is recognised as the quality leader of truck attachments in the UK.
