Torque announces another new client win and a prestigious addition to its ever-growing portfolio, MenKind.
MenKind is a multi-channel retailer specialising in giftware for men and has been included in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list of fastest growing companies for the last two years. Founded in 2002, MenKind sells a wide variety of presents for men including toys, gadgets, tools, novelty items and men’s accessories. As well as having two on-line sites, www.menkind.co.uk andwww.gadgetgrotto.com, MenKind has 26 permanent shops plus another 25-30 which operate over the Christmas period.
MenKind’s key challenge was to find an end to end logistics provider that could accommodate the dramatic seasonal variations of its unique gift business.
Since winning the contract Torque has consolidated and centralised MenKind’s stock holding and operations. Torque’s now renowned RedPrairie warehouse management system has also provided MenKind with greater transparency and control of its stock including systematic routing of carton and single unit warehouse pick orders.
Torque has developed an automated efficient solution which allows the simultaneous picking and despatch of replenishment orders for stores and home shopping e-commerce orders from the same centralised stock.
