People are the most important asset a business can have and so recognising this, RediGroup is pleased to confirm that it is taking on eight young people over the coming months as part of its ongoing Apprenticeship programme which supports the company’s commitment to investment in its workforce.

Taking up positions across the Group, four of these youngsters will be training as Contract Engineers, two will be Production Assistants, one will be going into IT support and the remaining person will be working within the Health, Safety, Quality and Environment team. These fantastic opportunities offer an excellent alternative for those not wishing to go on into Higher Education, but who want to get real experience within a workplace environment. With the increasing cost of tuition fees, Apprenticeships are appealing to more and more quality candidates and provide an excellent prospect for RediGroup to gain the type of youngster it wishes to attract to its workforce.

The Apprentices will all receive quality training which leads to a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in their specific area of work, whilst also receiving invaluable experience within a fast moving, ‘real world’ environment. This is a three year programme and, depending on the Apprenticeship, will also offer the opportunity for the individual to work towards a technical/professional qualification as well as their NVQ. Success at this level may also lead to a full time position within the Group.

Group Managing Director, Andrew Forsythe commented; “We’re passionate about our staff as investment in them will support the long term expansion plans of the business. By bringing in these young people at this stage, we can train them; bring out their full potential and, in line with their increasing experience on the job, give them a career development plan to work to. We hope many of these Apprentices will remain with us in the future to contribute to RediGroup’s ongoing plans for growth in all areas of the business.”

All of the youngsters are local to RediGroup’s main base near Rotherham, South Yorkshire and, as they settle into their new roles, the company will roll out details of their progress to the media.
