Gem Logistics secures its position as primary distribution partner for Cargo Records for three years.

Gem Logistics has announced that it has secured a three year contract with Cargo Records.

Leading supply chain specialist Gem Logistics is celebrating a brand new partnership with Cargo Records, a major figure in the UK and European independent distribution scene by announcing the signing of a 3 year contract.

“We have been looking for a number of years for a partner to take care of our warehousing and physical distribution. Meeting the Gem Logistics team and seeing their first class set up and state of the art facilities we realised we need to look no further.” said Phil Hill, at Cargo Records.

He added: “We are looking to drive the business forward and to strengthening this partnership over the coming years.”

Operating from its Northamptonshire site, Gem Logistics runs an impressive 250,000ft purpose built 3PL facility. Having successfully shipped over 65m units in 2011/2012 and holding 99.9% stock accuracy, these are just some of the key flag wavers for Gem Logistics and one of the reasons Cargo Records chose to partner with GL.

“We’re truly delighted with this long-term partnership,” Stephen Duke, Head of Client Services, Gem Logistics adds: “A contract win like this is evidence of our industry-leading credentials in the sector, including an outstanding stock accuracy record, which in essence is one of most importance to a company, along with on-time delivery and reporting services. Our proven ability to deliver operational efficiencies in a very challenging economic environment has hugely helped establish ourselves as a major player.”
