When they are not discussing the more serious issues of value-added logistics support, visitors to LINPAC Allibert’s Foodex stand were invited to ‘Tweet for a Treat’ as the company launched its new Twitter page.
A key focus for returnable transit packaging (RTP) specialist LINPAC Allibert at Foodex was the breadth of its range of handling and distribution trays and containers for the food industry. Not only is the company the manufacturer of the largest range of RTP in Europe, it also offers flexible crate washing and repair and RTP rental services designed to provide cost-effective asset management.
Simon Knights, Commercial Director of LINPAC Allibert says: “Foodex offered us the ideal platform to talk to customers across the broad spectrum of the food industry about the way in which we can tailor our services to manage costs and minimise losses. We work on the principle that no two customers have the same operational issues or requirements and can draw on a range of capabilities such as tray and container washing, hire, repairs and replacement equipment leasing and pooling, Foodex also provided visitors the first opportunity to see our new Maxinest+ range of produce trays designed for seamless integration with the latest automated handling technology.”
The crate rental, washing and repair service highlighted on the stand is based on a network of wash plants throughout the UK capable of washing both trays and bulk boxes and swab testing to BRC standards, operating in accordance with HACCAP standards. Rental offers an ideal solution for businesses with variable peak or seasonal demands, enabling them to avoid the need to tie up capital while enabling them to react quickly to market changes. And with environmental credentials and reporting becoming increasingly important to customers, Linpac Allibert also offers waste management and recycling services.
The LINPAC Allibert RTP rental ‘fleet’ is based on its Maxinest and Geobox ranges, examples of which were on display. Maxinest is an award-winning range of 20 sizes of tray ranging in capacity from 10 to 67 litres. The trays fit with all standard distribution and display cabinet arrangements and work seamlessly with the latest filling, weighing, handling and pallet storage methods. Geobox is a range of bulk boxes that are strong, durable and hygienic, suiting most applications where cleanliness and hygiene are a key requirement.
On the lighter side, to encourage followers on their Twitter page, the LINPAC Allibert team invited visitors to take a photograph of the new Maxinest+ trays on the stand and post it on Twitter in return for a chocolate bar.
