Held at the East of England Showground from 6th-7th May, Truckfest is widely regarded as one of the biggest and best outdoor events in the industry today, featuring some of the biggest names in the road haulage and logistics industry.
As associate sponsors of the event, RTITB promise to have lots in store including live music, magician and hypnotist shows, competitions and a dedicated children’s area. We are also the proud sponsors of the ‘Best Small Fleet’ award and will be giving away 35 hours of Periodic Training to drivers, in association with our consortium members, via our free prize draw.
During the two day event RTITB will be promoting the use of our Master Driver CPC Consortium members and the benefits to drivers of obtaining their Driver CPC Periodic Training through a consortium member. We will also be raising awareness of the Master Driver Registration Scheme (MDRS), a secure, online database which allows for the recording and storage of training details, aiding the easy analysis of a driver’s progress for the planning of future training.
However, Truckfest is not solely for drivers. Truckfest has prided itself on providing a fantastic family day out with an array of family friendly entertainment and activities. This year will be no exception with guests including Coronation Street actor Chris Fountain, Ice Road star Lisa Kelly and Bob the Builder.
Since its inception Truckfest has grown to an impressive scale, with 5 events now being held throughout the year, with this year seeing it celebrate its 30th anniversary. Approximately 103,000 attendees were recorded at 2011’s Peterborough event, and this number is expected to be surpassed in May.
