GNB Industrial Power, a division of Exide Technologies, has been awarded its second consecutive “Tesco Value Award” in recognition of its continued support and expert assistance to Tesco’s Distribution teams nationwide.

Tesco presents its “Tesco Value Award” to suppliers that have provided exceptional service. The recipient is chosen by representatives from Tesco’s distribution centres who nominate a supplier they believe deserves the accolade. GNB Industrial Power’s Service Team, which supplies Tesco with forklift truck batteries and chargers, recently received 100 percent positive feedback from centres across the country for the unrivalled support it provides.

As well as providing the vital equipment needed to ensure the distribution centres can work effectively and efficiently, the GNB Service Team visits every Tesco distribution centre each week to identify any potential problems before they occur. This pro-active approach enables the Service Team to resolve any issues before they develop into anything more serious.

“This award has been presented to the GNB Service Team for providing unsurpassed support to our logistics operations network”, explains James Fenton, Tesco’s UK Maintenance Manager Network Development.

“Their pro-active methods give us the peace of mind that any potential concerns will be spotted early and resolved quickly to ensure we only have the minimum amount of down time. In addition, their every day service means we can get on with our own jobs safe in the knowledge that our logistics network, one of the most important elements of our business, is in safe hands.”

Jon Wells, GNB Industrial Power’s Senior Key Account Manager, says, “We pride ourselves on both the quality of the products we provide and the consistently high level of aftercare we are able to offer to all of our customers. It is an honour to be presented with this award for a second time and is testament to the hard work and dedication of our Service Teams.”
