Measurement technology specialist Testo Limited is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Nicholson as the new Managing Director of their UK operation based at Alton in Hampshire.
Chris brings with him a wealth of technical sales and operational experience, including previous roles as: Regional Operations Director for Buck & Hickman running their branches in the South plus the Export and Insurance Service divisions, and previously as National Sales Manager for Shering Weighing Limited, responsible for the sales of industrial weighing equipment along with electronic instrumentation and computer systems.
In terms of Testo Limited, Chris says the decision to take the helm was easy given their long term strategies and strength of character during the recent financial turmoil culminating with unprecedented investment coupled with a true understanding of their sector. As for the future he observes “We will consolidate and enhance the testo reputation in the core areas of industrial applications, food and pharmaceuticals, as well as maintaining our position in the key area of flue gas analysis, aiming for notable expansion over the next 5 years. Our relationships with customers will be at the core of this policy to ensure we continue to develop products to give us the breadth of range to match all customer requirements without compromise, and it is vital we maintain the right relationship in the right manner to guarantee our long term credibility and success”
As a business professional who has based his success on team management, Chris observes that he has a couple of very specific ways of working which embrace complete honesty, creating an environment of learning and commitment, effective communication and ultimately “treating everyone as you would wish to be treated”.
