Starting today, the FLTA will offer UK businesses a new set of free, downloadable safety materials in support of its annual safety campaign, National Fork Lift Safety Week.

The assets, which will remain freely available throughout September and October, will underline the strong training emphasis of Safety Week: More Skills, Less Spills.

Downloadable from www.fork-truck.org.uk, they include:

• A hard-hitting colour poster for display in workplaces, entitled “It’s No Accident – Training Saves Lives”

• A new training-themed Good Practice Checklist, covering employee training from hiring operators to the role of managers

• A Training Powerpoint aimed at supervisors and managers to make them aware of their legal obligations, and the best way to fulfil these

• A Safety Week 2011 logo to use in letters and literature, raising awareness of the campaign

As well as these, the FLTA will send a free Employee Safety Booklet to any UK-based company who request one. Interested businesses should email mail@fork-truck.org.uk requesting the Employee Safety Book.

National Fork Lift Safety Week 2011 runs from 19th-25th September. For more information on the campaign, visit www.fork-truck.org.uk/safetyweek.
