David Price Food Services have been benefiting from full integration of Mandata’s Manpack3 TMS software to meet all of its transport and logistics operations, having rolled out the software to all UK wide depots.

Handling over 2000 pallets every night, David Price has utilised the flexibility of Manpack3 TMS, Warehouse Enterprise, Tracking and Advanced Services, to allow the business to grow rapidly since installation in 2003.

Manpack3 is the central database for all transport and logistics management processes, streamlining fleet management with logistic operations to manage and sort jobs from initial planning stages, through to the labelling and colour coding of pallets, cross docking, trunking, production of manifests to POD’s and invoicing.

Around 95% of David Price customers now rely on Manpack3 Advanced Services to book, view and manage pallet storage online as well as being able to track and trace vehicle and pallet locations, vastly reducing the number of telephone queries received from customers.

Recent investments in tracking has allowed Traffic Co-ordinators access to live information on vehicle availability and location, increasing the efficiency in planning and eliminating inaccuracies as well as ensuring the most cost effective vehicle runs are planned.

As the focus for David Price now moves to further investment in Mandata solutions, Elliott Craddock, IT and Project Manager at David Price states, “Our investment in Mandata technology since 2003 has played a vital role in our growth and expansion over the years and as a forward thinking company, we are turning once again to Mandata to help ensure continued efficiency and optimum performance is maintained”.

Elliott continues, “We are currently in the process of enhancing our warehouse systems and also introducing driver behaviour modules to help reduce our fuel and running costs, in order to gain a clearer understanding of the drivers and vehicles which are performing well, and address the ways in which optimum driver performance can be achieved for all.”

For an opportunity to see live demonstrations on Manpack3 or to speak one on one with a specialist about how Manpack3 can flex to suit your warehouse and logistic operations, Mandata can be seen at the TCS&D Show (Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution) at the Exec, Peterborough on 14-15th September 2011 and at the Totally Logistics North Exhibition at Doncaster Racecourse, 28-29th September.
