Crown Lift Trucks appoints Jon Buckley as Sales Director.

Crown Lift Trucks has appointed Jon Buckley as its new sales director. Joining the company in September 2010, Jon has extensive experience working in the materials handling industry and his promotion to Sales Director comes at an exciting time for Crown which is enjoying buoyant sales with the introduction of new models and technological advancements.

Jon Buckley will be responsible for all aspects of sales for Crown Lift Trucks in the UK and he intends to place specific emphasis on developing major new account business.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Buckley said: “Crown has an excellent reputation for quality products and quality of service in the UK. I intend to build on this and expand our reach by opening up new major accounts whilst continuing to give excellent levels of service to our existing customers.”

Crown’s philosophy of manufacturing over 85% of the components in its trucks and manufacturing using metal rather than plastic ensures that all Crown products are robust and reliable.

“These are both excellent platforms on which to expand our customer base in the UK,” said Jon Buckley, adding: “Combine this philosophy with advanced fleet management systems such as Crown’s Infolink® – which uses wireless technology to identify the real time performance and productivity of each truck, operator, shift period and facility – and it’s easy to see why our customers enjoy the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) on the market today.”

Commenting on Jon’s appointment, Simon Emery, Managing Director, Crown Lift Trucks UK said: “It’s an exciting time at Crown with a number of new accounts being won and a raft of new products coming to market. Our latest reach truck, the ESR 5000, will lift up to 13 metres while Crown’s WT 3000 series of powered pallet trucks has just won the prestigious IF Product Design award for innovative features, functionality, robust build quality and outstanding ergonomics. Combine these new products with Jon’s enthusiasm and professionalism and I think we have a winning team.”

Crown Equipment Corporation is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electric lift trucks. Since the company first started building material handling equipment in the 1950s, Crown products have won numerous industry accolades.
