JNL Engineering has acquired a new ROBUR SBE powered stacker to increase productivity at its Surrey warehouse. As the authorised distributor for the UK and Ireland of VM Motori diesel engines, the company offers sales, service and parts back-up to clients in the automotive, materials handling, power generation, agricultural and construction sectors.
Since 2007 a hand-pushed, battery-lift ROBUR stacker had been used for vehicle loading and to move engines and parts to and from storage areas. A healthy order book, and a desire to reduce manual handling and improve safety for warehouse personnel, led to a review of the operation.
The robust, manoeuvrable SBE3010 stacker offered powered lift and drive, a large capacity battery, electronic speed control and electromagnetic braking. With a capacity of 1000 kgs and a 3 metre lift height, it met fully the company’s requirements and when supplier Stanley Handling readily agreed to a part exchange, Sales Director Qumrul Khan observed, “We got a great deal – and a service agreement gives us peace of mind.”
