With the predicted growth in rail freight and intermodal logistics, business analysts are anticipating further consolidation within the UK road haulage sector. This trend is expected to push the evolution of larger fleet operators, which in turn should lead to new investment opportunities as distribution depots are re-equipped with bigger capacity super-sized fuelling facilities.
Oil Tank Supplies Ltd of Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire has received an increasing number of enquires this year for multi-product fuel storage, according to sales director, Steve Gain. Expecting this trend to continue OTS has designed a double sided MultiServe station for larger-capacity depot fuelling facilities.
“MultiServe is a convenient and efficient option for operators wishing to consolidate all wet-stock and additives into one compliant refuelling point,” explains Steve Gain.
“We are seeing potential demand for larger capacity tanks and this has been confirmed with the receipt of a recent order for a 140,000 litres storage tank.”
OTS manufactures tanks for capacities up to 200,000 litres. All designs are fully compliant and certified to OFS T200, the only UK Standard for enclosed bunded tanks, which are guaranteed a life expectancy of 20 years as required under the guidance to the COP (OSR).
In addition to commercial transport requirements, OTS has a broad capability covering all forms of fuel storage including diesel power generators for plant and utilities. The company differentiates itself by offering a total design and build capability with all the expertise and resources required to undertake full responsibility for the construction and installation of depot fuelling points.
