A leading producer of packaging in the UK, DS Smith Packaging takes the safety of its FLT operators very seriously. As part of its health and safety processes at its site in Launceston, Cornwall, the company ran a trial and then implemented the Virtual Risk Manager – FLT programme for all 73 of its site-based operators.
Process
The case study describes the entire process – from trial through to implementation – including the barriers faced, how they were overcome and the final results.
This programme has since been rolled out more widely across DS Smith Packaging, as well as other organizations, including Royal Mail and McCain. The session will discuss the new online training modules that have been developed to complement the risk assessment elements of the programme
