Craig McAdam of Russell, Jones & Walker Solicitors – the National Law Firm of the Year 2009 – will examine the legal implications of fork lift truck operations at the Safety Conference.
Illustrating his presentation with recent cases and fines, Craig will give an overview of the health and safety landscape at present and clearly explain the legal obligations of every company, every individual and every director.
The subject of Corporate Manslaughter will be looked at as well as the best way to deal with an investigation. Craig will offer advice on ways to avoid self-incrimination and outline a company’s duties to cooperate.
Craig McAdam heads the Business Crime and Regulation department in RJW’s Manchester office. He specialises in representing and advising individuals and businesses in regulatory and criminal investigations and prosecutions.
Craig has significant experience of advising – at all stages – in health and safety and environment agency investigations, including fatalities in construction and factory settings. His clients include corporate entities, directors and individual employees.
