Dematic has appointed Mark Pain as Sales Project Manager of the company’s Product Solutions division. Mark joins Dematic from Sovex and brings with him a wealth of experience in conveyors and a long systems background.
Mark took the role of Product and Project Sales Manager in 2005 originally with the conveyor division of FKI Logistex, which Sovex took control of last year. Prior to FKI, Mark worked in component sales with Interroll and before that he worked in the Automotive industry, gaining an extensive systems background.
“Dematic’s Product Solutions division suits my background extremely well,” said Mark, who is based at the company’s office in Banbury. “Dematic is well known as a large systems integrator and the division has been developed for the smaller products that people historically do not connect with the company. The division’s portfolio of voice, conveying and picking solutions can be implemented without major upheaval and require only a relatively small investment.”
Mark added: “These have been challenging economic times but if you can tell a customer they are going to get their investment back in 12 months time and then they are into pure profit, it becomes less challenging. These solutions also present an exciting development route for small companies on a growth path, allowing them to start with a relatively small investment in automation, such as voice picking, then graduate to Warehouse Management Software before stepping up to a small conveyor system.”
