matthew-rogersTIMSCRIS Holdings, owner of Timscris Reader Offers, the leader in the UK reader offer sector, has announced it has set up its own fulfilment operation, Templar Marketing Services (TMS). This has subsequently acquired the trading of Kent-based CSS Fulfilment Ltd. Templar Marketing Services Ltd will continue to offer fulfilment services to Timscris Reader Offers, Lifestyles Direct, LifeStylesatHome and a number of other valued clients.

Says Matthew Rogers, managing director, TIMSCRIS Holdings: “CSS has been our fulfilment house for our reader offer business for over 20 years. Over that time they have grown with us, all the time providing a first-class call centre and fulfilment service. The acquisition of CSS’s trading and staff is a natural one for us. We both have a passionate commitment to the highest levels of customer service and there is a clear synergy between the businesses in terms of operational processes.”

Mr Rogers says Templar Marketing Services will provide the Group with the additional expertise needed to grow the business in the UK and Europe. He continues: “The office and warehouse facilities are hi-tech and its South East location is extremely convenient for our future plans. We have been looking to expand our service offering up and down the supply chain since we undertook an MBO in 2009. TMS, with its trading acquisition of CSS, fits precisely with our long term strategy for the business. We are confident that together we can bring management, marketing and systems experience to the new company, and help it expand swiftly to become a leading player in the call centre and fulfilment industry.”

Templar Marketing Services has appointed Gina Wickham and Gail Chandler, both formerly of CSS, to spearhead the new company, Matthew Rogers, currently managing director of TIMSCRIS, becomes CEO. The company will continue to offer a full range of fulfilment and logistics services including call centre customer services – both inbound and outbound, data capture, pick, pack & dispatch order fulfilment, competitions and promotions handling, ticket fulfilment, outsourcing and account administration, packaging and warehousing.

The new name, Templar Marketing Services, aims to reflect the core values of the Knights Templar, which have a rich heritage in Strood, Kent, where the company is based. Much of the town was a royal manor until Henry II gave it to the Knights Templar around 1159. The stone hall, which they built in 1240, still stands close to the TMS office and warehouse and the address of the company, Knights Park, Knight Road again echoes this heritage.

In addition, Rogers says that the traditional values of the Knights Templar can help differentiate the brand in the market by giving it attributes that have real currency in the industry. “The Knights were recognised for their values of integrity, professionalism, dedication, enterprise and service, and this is exactly what we constantly strive to achieve,” he concludes.
