rr1340_newmdRedirack has a new Managing Director. Effective 1st November, Andrew Forsythe takes on the role with present MD, Phil Culling becoming Chairman. Jack Holden remains Operations Director.

Andrew worked with Phil previously and has been Redirack’s Company Secretary and Commercial Legal Adviser since its acquisition by the current owners in 2004.

Ambitious Future

Phil Culling comments “Having worked with Andrew for over 8 years I am delighted that he has taken on this senior role. He will re-invigorate the business despite the current market difficulties, and put in place an ambitious plan for the future.”

New Products and Partnerships

Phil went on to say: “Since completing the MBO over 5 years ago we have grown Redirack, introduced new products and forged partnerships with new technologies: All good stuff. But this has meant we overlooked the needs of the business and particularly our people. Andrew will prove invaluable in assessing what needs to be done and concentrating on implementing new systems and procedures.”

Involvement In The Racking Industry

Andrew, a qualified Solicitor, previously owned a French storage business and has provided operational and re-structuring advice throughout the UK and Europe. Andrew continues as a non-exec for other ventures where it will not affect his commitment to Redirack. Prior to his involvement in the racking industry, Andrew worked in a steel services division of a US NYSE listed conglomerate.

Exciting Role

Speaking of his appointment Andrew said “Having worked with Phil and Jack prior to and more importantly since the MBO I had no hesitation in taking-on this exciting role. 2009 has been a challenging year for everyone, but Redirack is in good shape to take full advantage of the chinks of light that appear in the market place, overseas opportunities and the inevitable upturn in the economy. Initially I will be concentrating on organisational governance, business methods and the structure of the business. I can’t wait to get into the market place and look forward to visiting customers and suppliers alike.”
