rfsA top UK firm in the field of material handling is helping in the construction of one of the largest and most groundbreaking projects in south east Asia.

Contact Attachments, based in Newtown, Mid Wales, recently supplied a container of forklift tipping skips to contractors on the Phu My project in Vietnam, which will see the development of a series of power plants in the south of the country.

Vietnam has a severely underdeveloped electrical infrastructure with an ever increasing demand for electricity, and the expansion in the number of power plants in the region will help to meet approximately 40% of the country’s energy needs.

Contact Attachment’s supply of unique twin-locked forklift tipping skips will allow contractors working on the Phu My project to effectively keep construction areas clear and allow safe and speedy removal of scrap, waste or rubbish, enabling the foundations of the power plants to be prepared.

Jason Cadman, Technical Sales Consultant at Contact, commented: “We were thrilled to be approached to supply our products to help deliver such a significant and monumental project.

“Although our supply of forklift tipping skips is only a small part of this exciting development, it is testament to our commitment to providing excellent service to customers, wherever they may be in the world.

“Our reputation for quality and service is growing across the globe and it is extremely encouraging that we are continuing to expand our export business, particularly in this current difficult economic climate.”

Contact Attachments has been successfully exporting its product range to a worldwide customer base for over thirty years and has established trading relationships with many global countries, including the USA, Gulf States and Russia.
