k9tl20A recent foray by Stanley Handling into the equestrian world involved the acquisition of a ROBUR powered pallet truck by Norfolk-based Shadwell Stud, a major player in breeding world-class thoroughbred racehorses.

The manual work involved in mucking out at Shadwell’s Nunnery Stud had led to the company’s safety and training manager, the aptly named Harry Steed, turning to Stanley Handling for a solution. This was provided in the shape of a ROBUR K9/TL20 powered pallet truck, equipped with a specially designed fork-mounted skip to carry away stable waste.

“When you have so many horses on site, mucking out is hard work and can cause aches, pains and sprains or worse,” explained Harry. “The pallet truck has made life easier, saved time and substantially reduced the risk of musculoskeletal injury to our valuable staff.”
