ian-brown.jpgLeading employment group, The Best Connection, has appointed Iain Brown as group training and development manager based at its headquarters in Halesowen, West Midlands. The role has been created due to the continued investment in staff skills development, business growth and the proven benefits of staff performance and retention. Brown brings to the position a wealth of management, training and recruitment experience gained in roles at James Beattie, Backup Staff and Prime Time Recruitment where he was a national trainer for three years.

Commenting on his appointment, Brown said: “Investment in training pays off and it’s my job to ensure that our staff develop the skills they need to maximise their strengths and enjoy their career with The Best Connection.

“Over three hundred employees have undertaken the company’s Foundation Training course, two hundred have attended the Core Skills Sales course and another eighty have benefitted from a new Introduction to Client Visit course launched in June 2007. This reflects the importance the company places on skills and individual career progression.”

Brown, who is married and a keen golfer, has worked closely with The Training Point to redesign The Best Connection’s appraisal system in order to reflect the changes in the industry, align training systems and manage the introduction of company-wide recruitment procedures designed to promote career opportunities within The Best Connection.
