hi-store.jpgStorage solution specialist Hi-Store has successfully worked with Wickes for many years on developing their UK stores – an association which has led to great cost savings for the DIY giant. It was this successful working relationship that led to Hi-Store being chosen to be involved in the exciting development of Wickes’ first two-tier store at a thriving retail park on the outskirts of historic Bexhill-on-Sea. Wickes invited Hi-Store to submit design proposals for a mezzanine floor that would encourage their customers to pay a visit to the upper floor – a trend which many leading retailers are investing in to increase their sales space and profits.

Hi-Store’s design of a Hi-Deck™ split-level mezzanine floor, including a staircase with stainless steel balustrade and customer lift, provided the perfect solution for Wickes to display their range of finest quality kitchens and conservatories.

Close team-working between Wickes’ dedicated Project Management and Hi-Store’s award-winning installation team, ensured that the upper floor project was successfully completed over a four week period, to the requirements of this two-phase, ambitious project.

The Bexhill store covers an area of 2,880 square metres (31,000 square feet) and the addition of a mezzanine floor has increased its sales space by approximately 15% to 440 square metres (4750 square feet).

Yet again, this project highlights the success of Wickes’ collaboration with Hi-Store.

Their Hi-Deck™ mezzanine floor has proved a great success for Wickes and its customers alike.
