Every storage solution around the world is faced with this question: How can we achieve an overall optimum for the parameters “Time”, “Cost” and “Fault Reduction” without neglecting issues relating to materials and the workplace? Despite the complexity of the needs profile, Clark has been providing coherent answers for decades. In 2008 Clark is pleased to present the GenTX and GenEX electric series and the combustion engine-based Gen2 C40-55 series, three more highly efficient, environmentally-friendly and reliably robust new forklifts.
Impressive strength: 48 volt 3-wheel GenTX 16-20s
Clark’s new three-wheel, electric GenTX 16-20s series incorporates models with load capacities ranging from 1.6 to 2 tonnes. The machines have 100 per cent AC technology and two powerful drive motors providing outstanding manoeuvrability and gradeability, acceleration and stability – and all down to the GenTX’s dual drive motors, which give added traction, particularly on wet or uneven surfaces.
Outstanding features including turning radius
Each motor’s speed and direction is proportionally regulated by the steering tyre position and, along with the versatile steering axle, they enable a turning radius that is far better than any similar range machine. Fully enclosed wet disc brakes provide constant brake performance even in humid, abrasive or corrosive environments. GenTX responds precisely and dynamically to the operator’s lift and tilt commands through its standard AC pump motors and controls.
100 per cent AC system for maximum efficiency
As standard, the GenTX comes with a hydraulic pump control and proportional lift controls. The pump motor only works as hard as the application concerned needs, thus optimising fuel consumption. Regenerative braking, available by releasing the accelerator pedal, changing the direction of travel or applying the service brake, returns energy to the battery, not to the brakes in the form of heat. The GenTX’s 100% AC system has made brush and contactor changes a thing of the past and the semi-permanent wet disc brake needs no adjustment, and no frequent replacing of the brake pads.
Top protection for motors and controls
All the motors are fully enclosed so they are protected against dust, water and dirt particles, while motor temperature monitoring curbs the power whenever temperatures approach a limit. All the control elements are also enclosed, so are protected against ambient factors, and raised high above the ground at the counterweight for further protection .
Top for comfort and usability
With real time information on the colour display, user-programmable parameters, a spring-mounted driver seat, the reduced-noise pump and numerous optional accessories, the GenTX also fulfils every requirement for comfort.
