Hörmann UK supplied and installed a high-speed V6030SE door as part of the loading bay and industrial door specification for the new Zeus Packaging warehouse at Gretton Brook Road, Corby. The V6030SE features an opening speed of up to 3 m/s and Hörmann Soft Edge technology. The door is operated by induction loops with a timed return which, along with the rapid opening and closing speed, helps to prevent heat loss and reduce energy costs.
Zeus Packaging has moved the operation to this larger high bay warehouse in Corby to accommodate further expansion plans. The site was developed by Frenbury Properties and Watson & Cox Construction Ltd managed the project.
The V6030SE was fitted behind one of two level access doors installed at the site. The other was installed with a PVC strip curtain on the exterior to further reduce energy loss and prevent contamination when handling food packaging.
Hörmann also supplied and installed two complete loading bay systems featuring 3750mm high DTS dock shelters. The shelters were fitted with SPU loading bay doors and LED arrow traffic lights.
Two HLS dock levellers featuring a hinged lip design were fitted to accommodate varying heights of vehicles. The 2100mm wide and 2750mm long platform is set within a self-supporting FR model frame which features side and rear anchors, edge brackets and adjustment angles at the sides.
To comply with stringent fire safety regulations, Contractor’s Watson & Cox also specified five of Hörmann’s high quality steel fire exit doors.
