ipp-new-contract.jpgIPP Logipal, the leading one-way trip pallet rental specialist, has been appointed as the preferred supplier to Bath Ales, after being awarded a new contract with the brewery. Established in 1995, Bath Ales has experienced steady growth leading to a new bottling plant being opened in 2007. Noted for its distinctive range, the company brews several regular, seasonal and traditional ales under its own quirky brand names including Gem, Barnstormer, Wild Hare, Natural Blonde, Festivity and Rare Hare.

Based in Warmley the brewery runs seven pubs across Bath and Bristol, and required an efficient pallet service to keep customers supplied with its quality ales and in high spirits. Previously Bath Ales purchased pallets but found that the availability and general quality was consistently poor. On switching to IPP Logipal a much-improved service was noticed immediately.

With IPP Logipal’s quality control checks matched to KPI (key performance indicator) criteria, Bath Ales is assured of receiving pallets at the highest possible standards every time and when required. The regional operation employs standard UK size pallets handling over 150,000 cases of product per month, with this number increasing in line with the company’s growth. The flexibility of IPP Logipal’s one-way trip service also allows volumes to be delivered nationally as and when required by the brewery.

Bath Ales’ director, Craig Lewis, comments: “We were growing increasingly tired of the hassle related to poor quality and availability when purchasing our own pallets.
“Providing a high-quality, simple and cost-effective solution, IPP Logipal handle all the complexities associated with using pallets, making it unimaginable to go back to our previous method.”
With a new agreement to deliver to major pub retailer Greene King, the Bath Ales contract is expected to expand over the coming months.

IPP Logipal is part of the Faber Halbertsma Group, which has a turnover of £200 million. The UK&I operation was established in 2005 and the company specialises in providing a high quality pallet service to the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods), retail and electronic sectors. IPP Logipal is a member of Timcon – the timber packaging and pallet confederation.

The Faber Halbertsma Group is the leading fullservice supplier of wooden packaging in Western Europe. The company produces, rents, repairs and sells pallets.
