Candlelight Products Ltd joined UKWA in April 2019. The company has operated its own warehousing facility for over 45 years but started to offer third party storage solutions in 2016, since which time Candlelight has gained over 20 new customers. Candlelight now service some of the UK’s biggest retailers and ecommerce businesses and the company’s turnover from third party storage has grown from zero to a six figure sum in less than three years.
MCGINLEY LOGISTICS SUPPORT LTD
Launched in September 2018, McGinley Logistics Support provides fulfilment services to omni channel retailers across the UK and Europe and in its first year of trading the company has added such well-known brand names as Timberland, North Face and Best Direct to its client portfolio. McGinley Logistics Support describe themselves as ‘disruptors’ in the industry and aim to maintain consistently high levels of service as the business grows.
ACCOLADE WINES
Accolade Wines own and operate Europe’s largest wine warehouse and distribution centre. Based in Bristol, the facility can fill 1200 bottles of wine every minute. By shipping in volume and bottling wine from around the world in Bristol, Accolade Wines is able to reduce its transportation greenhouse footprint by half as a container can carry 25,000 litres of wine, compared with 10,000 litres when wine is transported in bottles on a traditional pallet.
KARL KING TRANSPORT
Karl King Transport was founded in 1991 and the company’s fast and reliable distribution and warehousing services and 300,000 sq ft of modern bonded warehousing have established it as a leader in the de-vanning storage and delivery of customer goods entering the UK through the ports of Felixstowe, Ipswich and Harwich.
The integration of the transport and warehousing functions, coupled with a determined policy of continuous investment in new equipment and systems, has enabled the company to maximise its reliability and cost efficiency.
