2017 was again a highly interesting and successful year for I.D. Systems in Continental Europe and the UK. The appointment of Chris Wolfe as the CEO at our corporate headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, in December 2016 proved a step in the right direction, driving growth and innovation at I.D. Systems even more than before. Our parent secured milestone deals with Avis and Toyota’s Service Parts and Accessories Operations and enlarged our group by the acquisition of Keytroller. But also the European organisation was able to win some key deals, such as the outfitting of the MHE fleet of a 3PL operating at one of the UK’s most innovative car manufacturing plants or of three new DC’s of a leading online retailer.
As of this year, we are deploying our new hardware generation VAC4 which is very well received by our customers. It is faster to install, easier to implement due to the improved install wizard, easier to operate due to the enlarged display, all combined with the robustness known from the previous product generations.
Customers who chose to have I.D. Systems host their application, are now being deployed in the powerful new online software VisionPro™ and can of course profit from the industry’s most data-rich analytics platform (Power Fleet IQ™).
VisionPro is a completely new development, taking into account the feedback from our customers over the past years, intuitive and easy to use.
We presented these solutions at the LogiMAT in Stuttgart/Germany, the IntralogisteX in Coventry/UK, we will participate in both again in 2018. Also, we exhibited at the Logistica in Utrecht/The Netherlands this year for the first time which proved to be a show attracting highly interested and professional visitors. This, like the IHMX will definitely become a regular event in our calendar.
At every trade show, you have the opportunity of meeting with the new sales team: Kris Boulton (an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in working for BT/Toyota and Enersys) and Jonas Rappen (he just completed his BSc in International Management while acquiring professional experience in Sales & Business Development in the steel industry). They are supported by Rita Okah, our Inside Sales Manager, who holds a BSc in Business Administration and is fluent in English, German and French.
