Impact, the UK’s exclusive distributor for Cat® Lift Trucks, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dechmont Forklift Trucks as its new Cat dealer for Scotland.

In its new role as a strategic dealer, the family-run business, which has been trading for more than 30 years, can offer any combination of equipment from Impact’s extensive Cat counterbalance truck and warehouse materials handling ranges, as well as premium products from additional specialist brands.

Managing Director of Dechmont Forklift Trucks, Davey Forrest, says: “Having such an extensive product range is going to ensure our customers can have exactly the right equipment to suit their operation, which will mean greater efficiency and cost savings.”

He adds: “Impact’s commitment to stock levels and their flexibility in transport means fast availability of new trucks, which will prove invaluable to customers.”

Dechmont Forklift Trucks provides new and used equipment for sale, contract hire or short-term rental, while a team of expert engineers also provides service and maintenance cover across Scotland.

In addition, the dealership offers an extensive workshop capability, and carries out forklift operator training at its Broxburn base near Edinburgh.

Impact Managing Director Terry Kendrew says: “We’re delighted to welcome Dechmont to our network, as we enter an exciting period of expansion for both Impact and Cat Lift Trucks.

“Dechmont’s focus on delivering outstanding customer service matches our own, and having quick and easy access to a range of premium equipment, and the ability to respond rapidly to any requirement will benefit customers across Scotland.”
