A comfortable order picker is a productive one. In developing its latest range of high-level order pickers, the OPBH10N Series, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks looked for ways to unlock every picker’s potential.

OPBHN-MINAPP-HIWEB-O3-PReaching market-leading heights of up to 11.5 metres, the high-spec models feature the manufacturer’s ground-breaking Active Sway Control (ASC) technology.

ASC, a software-driven system featuring intelligent pressure sensors, counteracts sway that occurs when trucks brake or accelerate while operating at height. It automatically senses, calculates and delivers the correct adjustment necessary.

The advanced system reduces swaying distances by 85%, resulting in a significant reduction in the length of time an operator must wait – between picks – for swaying to cease.

Typically, ASC cuts sway delay by 7.5 seconds per pick when operating at heights between 5100 and 10000 mm. Over the course of a single shift, this equates to a savings of up to 20 minutes per shift… and a 6% boost in productivity.

Productivity is closely aligned with operator confidence and ASC has been specially developed to give operators a greater sense of control over acceleration and braking.

These high level order pickers have been specially developed to allow drivers to fully focus on the task at hand. For example, cabin vibrations have been kept to an absolute minimum to reduce the risk of driver fatigue.

Active sway control is fitted – as standard – to all OPBH10N series models with a lift height of 5.1 metres or more.

It is available alongside a whole host of optional features, including order picking cages and automatic safety modifications. Wire guidance and end-of-aisle braking options have been introduced for warehouse applications where visibility at intersections is an issue.
