Sweat stains are no doubt quite embarrassing and problematic in social situations. No one would want their friends to see the stain on your clothes. This problem is not uncommon. So, I describe how to get rid of sweat stains with simple techniques and easily available home-based materials. Below are 3 different methods of cleaning sweat stains.

1.Using a paste

First of all, soak your clothes in a mixture of equal parts of distilled white vinegar and cold water. If your clothes are only mildly stained with sweat, this step should be enough for you.

However, if your clothes still have stains, you need to make a paste to clean them. Mix 1 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide, and a half cup of baking soda in a bowl. Use this paste on the stain and let it stay there for a while.

Also, keep in mind that this stage can only be used for white clothes. If your clothes are colored, use the same material but replace hydrogen peroxide with cold water.

2.Using soap

This method is best for yellow-colored stains on your clothes that appear due to a reaction of your sweat with your deodorant. Mix one part soap with two part hydrogen peroxide and soak the stained area of the clothes in this. Gently scrub the area with a brush or sponge. Let the paste stay on the spot for approximately an hour, and then wash it. If the stain is very stubborn and this mixture is not having a clear effect on it, mix a bit of baking soda or dishwashing liquid in it.

3.For very stubborn stains

Although the methods of removing sweat stains mentioned above are quite useful, some stains still do not go away by these methods. For the stains that are not cured by this method, you can use lemon juice. Rub the lemon juice on the stained areas on the clothes. Leave the clothes in the sunlight for a few hours for the lemon to show its effect.

Alternatively, you can dampen the cloth and put a meat tenderizer on the areas with stains. Or you can also use commercial products to clean the sweat stains out of your clothes. These cleaning products can be bought online or through a store.

Remember that you cannot use these home-based stain cleaners on delicate clothes such as silk or on dry clean only clothes. Also, avoid using bleach on your clothes as it is not helpful at all for removing sweat stains.

Conclusion:

Using this method, it is quite likely that you will be able to remove the sweat stains out of your clothes with ease. Follow the procedure carefully, and you will be good to go.
