Norbert Dentressangle Transport Services has secured a new contract with Sealmaster, a specialist in weather, acoustic, draught and intumescent fire and smoke seals.
Part of the Dixon International Group, Sealmaster produces seals for doors, windows and showers at its manufacturing centre near Cambridge that provide protection against passive elements.
Dissatisfied with the distribution service it was receiving, the company turned to Norbert Dentressangle to provide a flexible next-day delivery service via its in-house shared-user pallet network.
The supply chain specialist collects products from Sealmaster’s manufacturing facility, processes and consolidates orders, and trunks them overnight to regional depots for final delivery. Customers include market leading companies Timbmet Door Solutions Limited (TDSL) and the worldwide Abesco group.
David Allen, Warehouse Manager at Sealmaster, explained: “We required a flexible service that could monitor orders and make deliveries in line with the demand for our products. Norbert Dentressangle has the expertise to meet our customers’ expectations and a well established pallet network that is helping to significantly reduce our supply chain costs.”
Sealmaster is also benefiting from access to the bespoke SHARP (Shipment Handling and Reporting Program) technology provided by Norbert Dentressangle. The integrated online system enables the company to place orders electronically, which are scanned and tracked in real time to improve operational efficiency.
