Leading independent integrator of packaging lines Autopack has marked a tenfold growth in turnover over the last five years and is targeting ambitious plans for even further growth. Turnover at the Hereford-based business is forecast to hit £12m this year, with Autopack already £1.5m ahead of its sales targets in the first quarter of 2025. The company is the leading independent supplier of packaging and processing machinery to the food, drink, chemical, cleaning and personal care sectors.

Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK (NMUK) approached Yusen Logistics to support their vision and join a partnership aimed at transforming the existing logistics solution from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs). Yusen Logistics has become the first haulier to deliver production parts directly into the Sunderland plant via eHGV, covering a total route trip of 703 kilometres, and providing a real-life testing of the solution before going live with the end-to-end scheme, which will deploy 10 eHGVs.

Exotec, the global specialist in warehouse robotics, is taking significant steps to support its international growth. The French technology company has announced the opening of a brand-new office in Munich, demo centres in Atlanta (USA) and Korea, and the successful implementation of the Skypod System with its first customer in Poland. Exotec has opened the Exostudio demo centre at its headquarters in Atlanta, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the latest developments in automation live.

Pallet-Track member Freighteam has just added two double deck trailers to its fleet, and two seven-and-a-half tonne vehicles. It has also installed a canopy above its two warehouses in West Yorkshire to make loading and unloading easier, according to our pallet networks feature.

Speedpac, a leading specialist in third-party logistics and contract packing solutions, has enhanced its loading operations with the installation of a Hörmann Transdek 12-pallet Vehicle-to-Ground (V2G) yard lift at its Wellingborough facility. The investment was made in response to a new high-volume contract requiring the efficient loading and unloading of double-deck trailers and other fleet vehicles directly from the warehouse floor – without the need for traditional dock levellers, our loading bay feature reveals.
