The Sentric Safety Group is proud to announce the launch of the Salvo Steering Wheel Lock (SWL), a new addition to the Salvo Loading Bay Safety System, designed specifically for rigid vehicles that do not have air brakes and intended to complement the full Salvo Safety System Solution for customers with mixed fleets.
The Salvo Steering Wheel Lock is a highly visible physical device designed to support loading bay safety procedures through a simple mechanical interlocking sequence. The solution helps reduce the risk of accidental drive-aways during loading and unloading activities, an important consideration in environments where vehicle movement can pose significant safety risks to personnel and operations.

Seamless integration and reliable operation
The Salvo Steering Wheel Lock is designed to integrate with the Salvo Loading Bay Safety System, utilising trapped key interlocking principles to support a controlled sequence of operations. When installed on the steering wheel of a rigid vehicle, the Steering Wheel Lock provides a highly visible indication that loading or unloading activities are taking place and is designed to restrict steering wheel movement while fitted.
The operating process is straightforward. Once the Steering Wheel Lock has been fitted, the key can be removed and inserted into the Salvo Control Panel or Salvo Manual Door Lock, where it remains trapped until loading or unloading activities have been completed. Following completion of the process, the key can be returned to release and remove the Steering Wheel Lock.
