ODYSSEY® Battery is renewing its partnership with Team BRIT for the fifth consecutive year after a landmark victory in the GT Cup opener at Donington Park, making the squad the first team with an all-disabled driver line-up to win a GT3 race.

Jamie Falvey and Paul Fullick secured victory as Team BRIT made its GT3 racing debut in a brand new BMW® M4 GT3. Jamie, who served as a Lance Corporal in the Royal Marines Commandos until he was discharged after sustaining hearing damage, raced with the team from 2017-2019 and returned this year. Teammate Paul, a former member of the British Army and lower leg amputee, joined in 2022.
Team BRIT is made up of eight disabled drivers, who race against able-bodied competitors using advanced hand control technology and other adaptive solutions. The team runs four cars – a BMW® M4 GT3, a BMW® M4 GT4, a BMW® M240i and a McLaren® 570S GT4 – all powered by ODYSSEY® batteries.
During the five-year collaboration, Team BRIT has secured a national championship and several championship class wins without facing a single power-related issue, highlighting the reliable performance of ODYSSEY® batteries under demanding conditions. The renewed sponsorship deal will see ODYSSEY® Battery continue to provide batteries and technical expertise to Team BRIT, while supporting the team’s wider mission to break down barriers in motorsport and create opportunities for disabled drivers at the entry-level.
Christopher Thomas, Vice President of Global Marketing & Commercial Operations at EnerSys®, manufacturer of ODYSSEY® batteries, said: “Team BRIT’s win at Donington Park was a fantastic start to the season and we’re proud to continue our partnership. Five years in, it’s rewarding to see the team delivering results at the highest level of endurance racing while continuing to open up opportunities for disabled drivers at a grassroots level.”
Al Locke, Engineering Director at Team BRIT, added: “Reliability is non-negotiable in endurance racing and we’ve had no battery issues whatsoever in the last five years. That consistency gives us confidence going into every race. It’s great to have ODYSSEY® Battery behind us for another season.”
Since forming in 2015, Team BRIT has expanded its presence in endurance racing, providing both entry-level and advanced racing opportunities, while also developing accessible motorsport technology. During the 2026 season, Team BRIT is competing in the Britcar Endurance Championship, the GT Cup and the Snetterton Saloons series. The driver line-up features Paul Fullick, Jamie Falvey, Aaron Morgan, Bobby Trundley, Asha Silva, Noah Cosby, and rookies Tom Cannon and Harvey Phillips.
