JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation business [NYSE:OSK] and leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and telehandlers, announces that the JLG® LiftPod, its world-first Quick Fold Lift product, has won bronze in the Mechanically-Augmented Labour category at the Edison Awards 2026.

The Edison Awards recognise excellence in global innovation, new product development, and design, celebrating advancements that improve how people live and work, focusing on impact and creativity. This year’s winners were announced at a gala awards ceremony on 16th April in Fort Myers, Florida, USA.

JLG’s LiftPod Quick Fold Lift was recognised for its compact, innovative design which enables one-person access to low level work at height with optimal manoeuvrability and setup. Its sleek, stylish design is suitable for facilities maintenance tasks in professional spaces. Its unique configuration may also help reduce physical strain and the risk of musculoskeletal disorders, supporting long-term worker wellbeing.

“With LiftPod, JLG is rethinking low level access in modern workplaces,” says Richard Puglia, JLG Sales and Business Development Director EMEAI. “The Edison Award acknowledges LiftPod’s user-centred approach, which can help enhance safe working practices, simplify daily tasks, and support productivity in retail and commercial spaces.”

Featuring a synchronised counterbalanced folding mechanism for rapid setup and a patented gas-lift assisted drive belt drive, LiftPod is designed to deliver smooth elevation for work at heights up to 3.5 metres. An enclosed platform with secure rails and gates helps provide stable, confident working conditions, while safety lock-out features restrict operation until the unit is fully deployed. Together, features are designed to help reduce the potential for human error and support compliant working at height.
