BITO Storage Systems, the UK subsidiary of BITO-Lagertechnik Bittmann GmbH, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Price as Managing Director UK, effective from 1st May 2026. He succeeds Edward Hutchison, who retired at the end of February after more than 25 years of outstanding leadership and service to the business.

This appointment marks a confident new chapter for the UK operation, building on the strong foundations established by Edward Hutchison over more than a quarter of a century.

Chris Price brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience across the intralogistics, materials handling and automated solutions sectors. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of ek robotics Limited, where he successfully led the transformation of the UK business, delivering sustained revenue growth, improved profitability and significant organisational development.

In this role, he held full P&L responsibility for the UK organisation, alongside additional international leadership responsibilities across sales and business development.

Before joining ek robotics, Chris held senior commercial and leadership roles with globally operating companies, including Jungheinrich and STILL Materials Handling, where he built and developed high-performing sales teams and managed major national and international customer accounts.

He holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Southampton and combines strong technical expertise with a proven commercial and strategic mindset.

“We are delighted to welcome Chris to BITO. He brings a strong track record of leadership, growth and transformation within the intralogistics sector, together with a deep understanding of the UK market. Chris is ideally placed to build on the exceptional foundations laid by Edward Hutchison and to continue the successful development of our UK business in close alignment with the BITO Group,” says Winfried Schmuck, CEO of BITO-Lagertechnik Bittmann GmbH.
