Using a stock picker from JLG to pick stock, perform general maintenance and expedite other repetitive tasks allows warehouse staff to complete their work in less time.

With DSP driveable stock pickers, operators can quickly position themselves at height, load items onto the tray and continue to the next picking task thanks to the Rise & Drive capability. Ideal for small, narrow aisles and large facilities alike, they have a zero turning radius and long battery to enable the team to work a full shift.

The DSP series includes three models, the DSP-S, DSP-M and DSP-L – with industrial truck homologation available on two models (DSPi-S and DSPi-M) – which offer a range of maximum working heights (from 5 m to 7.8 m) and maximum picking heights (from 4.5 m to 6.3 m). The maximum capacity varies from 100 kg on the DSP-L to 120 kg for the DSP-S and DSP-M.

Innovative design

Each DSP model promises more productivity due to the combined Drive and Rise technology with AC drive/steer motors. The maintenance-free patented mast construction and maintenance- free AGM batteries will increase uptime.

For enhanced ergonomics, the low platform entry height (20 cm on the DSP-M and DSP-S) reduces operator fatigue, while adjustable handles increase comfort during operation. The DSP models also feature programmable lifting height and safety sensors.

Nicola Sacchet, JLG EMEA Product Manager Booms-Scissors-Verticals, says: “The JLG DSP is a gamechanger in stock picking. When a pallet truck or warehouse forklift is too large a machine for the space in your warehouse, then choose order pickers from JLG.”

Designed and built in Europe

The DSP range was designed by JLG engineers at the company’s facility in Tonneins, France. Primarily, Tonneins is a manufacturing site. The DSP-M stock picker and the Toucan mast lifts are produced and assembled at this location.

Having engineers on site means the manufacturing process can be defined early on. Parts production and assembly are studied, and processes are defined, alternatives are considered between JLG’s engineers and manufacturing experts. In the long run, this means the company can transition the process from design to the start of production in the most optimal way.
