MHI is an international trade association that has represented the material handling, logistics and supply chain industry since 1945. MHI’s over 1,000 members include material handling and logistics equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, consultants, workforce solution providers, publishers and third-party logistics providers.

MHI offers education, networking and solution sourcing for their members, the members’ customers, and the industry as a whole through programming and events. The association produces the ProMat and MODEX expositions that showcase the products and services of its member companies to educate manufacturing and supply chain professionals. The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) is a division of MHI and provides education and research to the warehousing, distribution, and logistics community.

What are your exhibitors’ best-known products, solutions and services?

MODEX 2026 will be held April 13-16, 2026, in Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. Over 1,000 exhibitors will showcase their solutions on MODEX’s show floor totalling over 630,000 square feet of manufacturing and supply chain solutions. MODEX exhibits will represent all segments of the material handling and supply chain logistics industry, from traditional manual equipment to computerised, automated systems, e-commmerce fulfilment, AI and last mile logistics. MODEX 2026 will also feature a comprehensive educational conference including keynotes and show floor educational seminars led by industry experts and leading authorities.

Which industry sectors are your exhibitors in and which ones are growing fastest?

MODEX exhibits represent all segments of the industry from traditional equipment to emerging technology solutions. The fastest growing segments in this industry include automation, robotics, Internet of Things, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence/machine learning.

What are the major trends and developments affecting your category and your customers, and how are you responding?

Leading trends impacting supply chains include workforce and talent shortages, ongoing uncertainty, robotics and automation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and the need for visibility, transparency and real-time data.

How does business in 2026 compare to previous years? What’s your strategy for succeeding in the current climate?

2026 represents continued growth from this sector as industries are faced with growing economic and geopolitical uncertainty. The need for robust and resilient supply chain solutions is more important than ever under this environment.

What’s the latest news from Modex?

MODEX is the largest supply chain event of 2026. The show will feature over 1,000 exhibits and a conference including four keynotes and 200 show floor sessions. Attendance is tracking well above MODEX 2024 with all signs pointing toward a record event.

Can you tell us about any areas where you’re currently making changes?

We are offering new theatres featuring the solutions offered by MHI Industry Groups as well as a theatre focused on supply chain resiliency. MODEX is also offering experiential areas on the show floor including the MODEX Backyard and MODEX Peachtree Social areas.

What is the message for this year’s show?

The theme of MODEX 2026 is supply chains from every angle. This theme depicts the broad nature of this event, featuring equipment and technology spanning every angle of the supply chain, from material handling, warehousing, logistics and transportation.
