Palletower, the fast-growing storage and logistics equipment provider, has further expanded its racking and shelving division by swooping for Leeds-based Alternative Storage Systems. The purchase is Greater Manchester headquartered Palletower’s fifth acquisition within the racking and shelving sector in the last eight months and its second in the Yorkshire region this year. Palletower, based in Sale, has grown to become one of Europe’s largest providers of storage and logistics equipment.
Specialist sports nutrition distributor Nutrivend Ltd has selected Forterro’s ERP and Warehouse Management Solution, Orderwise Cloud, to drive growth through online channels and increase operational efficiency across its UK operations. Nutrivend Ltd is a vending, wholesale and distribution provider of sports nutrition products for national and global brands across the UK, including Nuffield Health, Bannatyne, Fitness First, PureGym Power League and more. It provides a variety of vending options for its customers and is experiencing rapid growth.
Global warehouse robotics provider Exotec has achieved SOC2 Type 2 cybersecurity compliance. The framework, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), recognises the strict controls Exotec has in place to protect customer data. This comes just a few months after obtaining ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for security management.

BS Handling Systems faced the challenge of providing an automated solution for sorting and storing empty totes and pallets at MINI plant Oxford. The automated sortation system in the ILC building (80) has been designed to handle up to 1250 totes per hour and is operational 22 hours a day, five days a week. The system has improved efficiencies at the Oxford MINI plant and freed operators to focus on more important tasks in the production plant, says our conveying & sortation feature.
