During the meeting of ALEM (Association of Loading & Elevating Equipment Manufacturers) on 17 October 2024 in Loughborough, Phil James of Fen-Bay services was appointed to replace Richard Spinks of Loading Bay Lifts as President. Members discussed the publication in the OJEU of EN1570-1:2024 “Safety requirements for lifting tables – lifting tables serving up to two fixed landing.” A roundtable meeting for ALEM members to discuss their understanding of the differences between the old and the new standard for EN1570-1 will be scheduled next year.
