What’s the most exciting thing about your job?
Providing the best service to our customers by working collaboratively with my team and other departments. Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes that benefit the customer, my colleagues and the business.
Who has inspired you most in your career?
My parents for demonstrating a good work ethic, resilience and commitment.
If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?
I would be an attached lid container/tote box as they are versatile, reliable and can protect their contents.
What’s your favourite pastime?
Going to concerts. I love music and enjoy a live gig.
Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?
My partner Peter and I support the Edinburgh Monarch Speedway. We go every week to watch the racing at Armadale and cheer on the Mighty Monarchs.
I also support a football team who can be both frustrating to watch and brilliant to watch at the same time! A team whose trophy cabinet is empty, where every season is filled with hope and promise of winning something but ends up just outside the top 4. I’ll leave it for you to guess who it is…
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can bend the top of my finger without bending my knuckle, not sure if you would list this as a talent!
Who would be your favourite party guest?
Bob Mortimer as he can tell so many funny stories.
If you won the Lottery, what would you do?
If I won a substantial amount on the Lottery I would ensure both my partner’s and my families were comfortable and then buy the Edinburgh Monarchs a permanent race track so the Speedway could continue for future generations.
What’s your dream holiday?
To visit the Reichenbach Falls where Sherlock Holmes met his fate.
What’s your favourite music album?
Fleetwood Mac’s greatest hits (inclusive of Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac).
What’s your favourite movie or Netflix series?
Oh now I would have to say Ted Lasso, but I am really enjoying Only Murders in the Building at the moment too, so it would be between these two.
What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?
Go for it, you won’t regret it.
