High-speed freezer doors, such as the Klimate K2 from BID Group Ltd, are engineered for environments that demand rapid access along with stringent temperature controls. These doors operate at high speeds, significantly reducing the time that the door remains open, which is crucial for minimising temperature fluctuations and energy loss. Vision panels can also be fitted to allow you to see through closed doorways.

Union Industries, the leading manufacturer of bespoke high-speed industrial doors, has helped LoneStar Leeds Limited, a world-class provider of precision engineered components, sealing technologies and specialised coatings and plating reduce costs and improve efficiency through the triple installation of its Bulldoor. Union developed tailored solutions for each opening, including reducing the opening size of a large doorway to curtail heat loss while maintaining optimal clear opening sizes to suit LoneStar’s requirements. Additionally, it crafted a door to fit within tight spatial constraints without compromising operational functionality.

Efaflex recommended its SRT-Eco door for its client which specialises in online retailing of sports equipment and sportswear distributing orders and brands such as Nike, Mitre, and Ziland from their York facility. The SRT-ECO fabric roll up door requires little specialist structural preparation, and its slimline frames mean that it can be fitted in areas of confined space. The standard sight curtain is semi-transparent for increased user safety, and to ensure an uninterrupted line of site in busy traffic areas where people and machinery work side by side.

ASSA ABLOY has won the prestigious ‘Product Innovation and Design – Mechanical’ award for its innovative concealed escape hardware range at the AI Specification Awards. The company said the win underlines the remarkable ingenuity, from its UK design team, behind the product range, addressing a longstanding challenge faced by aluminium door manufacturers. These manufacturers have been grappling with the need for a high-performance concealed escape hardware range that not only aligns with the doors’ requirements for achieving thermal and acoustic efficiency but also withstands rigorous security testing to meet PAS24 standards.

It’s excellent to see the innovation in the doors sector, helping keep warehouses safe and running smoothly.
