In addition to our standard WMS software, we have supported AMCO in their rapid expansion in the development of several bespoke solutions in support of their customer’s requirements in aerospace, automotive part sequencing and the management of a worldwide supply chain of bulk shipments from the far east of individually numbered components that require full tracking during the inbound, store, pick and despatch process.
When a new supplier to a famous luxury carmaker approached AMCO for a sequencing solution, THINK were able to create the WMS and operational concepts that proved decisive in the contract being awarded to AMCO. THINK consultants’ extensive knowledge with 1st tier automotive manufacturers and in particular Just-In Sequence (JIS) environments put them in great stead to secure this sequencing project. THINK developers created a fully configurable sequencing module that can be used for multiple product types and fit points at both planning and fixed sequencing levels. Handheld barcode scanners can perform the crucial validation of picked product and stillage slot position to help ensure the supply chain is maintained. THINK can also be configured to automatically print product labels, stillage manifests and delivery documentation, in addition to management reports to monitor demand vs stock levels.
