REWE Group, one of Germany’s leading food retail companies, has partnered with Cimcorp, a pioneer in intralogistics solutions, to implement a project for an automated fulfilment system for fruit and vegetables at the REWE logistics centre in Oranienburg, approximately 50 km north of Berlin. Cimcorp’s intralogistics solution provides reliable order picking for fresh products such as fruit and vegetables in plastic crates. The agreement also includes a comprehensive customer support contract with 24/7 system support for high system availability.

Working in collaboration with ISD Solutions, a leading contractor specialising in the development, construction, and maintenance of cold stores, BID Group have been commissioned by their client, Magnavale, to install 20 Klimate K2 High Speed Freezer Doors in the new Magnavale Easton cold store development. The row of bespoke Klimate K2 freezer doors are being installed in the developments low-bay area, which on completion will comprise of 20 loading docks, alongside conveyors, racking, and monorail systems that will enable automation for services such as contract packing, our Cold Storage & Distribution feature reports.
