Highly flexible machines are at the heart of Yorkshire Packaging Systems’ (YPS) Empack show this year on stand D50.

For transit packaging applications, YPS will show a twin-lane side-feed sleeve wrapper. This machine can handle all sorts of product forms and combinations with ease, as it’s able to create multiple collations, including trayed and trayless, with fast changeover routines.

Joining the shrink wrapping equipment will be the market’s only hybrid automated bagging machine, able to use both paper and plastic materials. It also takes the crown as the widest autobagger on the market and here represents YPS’ e-commerce and mailing fulfilment machinery offering.

YPS will also be demonstrating the use of compostable shrink film, running on an l-sealer, ideal for display packaging. Both film and machine are on show for the first time at a trade event and interest is expected to be high.

“We can’t wait to show visitors this innovative, compostable packaging. The finish we can achieve with this film proves that there’s no need to compromise on quality when you’re pursuing sustainable goals,” stated YPS MD, Glyn Johnson.
